Ditch those dull Dutch lessons.
Nothing is more annoying than learning stuff you don't use. So let's focus on stuff real people say, like effe kijken, (let's see) wacht effe (wait a sec), ooh, op die fiets! (ooh, that's what you mean!) and helaas pindakaas! (too bad!)
Don’t get me wrong, textbooks are useful to give structure to your learning process. But there’s nothing more boring than using a textbook all the time and learning grammar and vocabulary out of context.
Therefore, we will focus on your world and your words. Are you a parent? You will learn to give your child instructions in Dutch and to speak to their teacher in the "10-minuten gesprek".
Do you prefer talking about current affairs? We will watch videos of the news and discuss those. While using a wide range of different activities and games, you will improve your Dutch quickly.
A Dutch course with a personal touch
How do I teach? Over the years, I have picked the best things from each method and technique. My goal is that you learn to express your thoughts and communicate with confidence, but I also think it is key that you enjoy the process.
The fantastic advantage of taking a Dutch language course online is that presentations and materials are much more visual and interactive.
Dry grammatical explanations can be done before the lessons via online videos, posted on your personal betterdutch-website. This frees up time during our lessons to focus more on practising what you have learned in real-life examples and discussing more advanced and engaging materials.

Most of all, my teaching method is practical and personal. I create every single lesson around your specific interests and needs, whether you want to focus on conversational Dutch for chatting with other parents or whether you need to prepare for the integration exam.
